Young entrepreneurs from Kenya came to visit Baronet Coffee in October, 2010through the University of Connecticut's Business School. This is the second group that has come to Baronet to learn about improving their businesses in Kenya. Bruce Goldsmith has been invited to go to Kenya in March so he can work with even more people who are looking to improve their businesses and their lives. This is a wonderful way for Baronet Coffee to give back to a country that is a major coffee producer.

The University of Connecticut Family Business Program names Baronet Coffee is one of the honorees for the 2008 Connecticut Family Business of the Year Awards! The Connecticut Family Business of the Year Award recognizes and honors exceptional family businesses that exemplify core family values and the best of American free enterprise. Ten honorees were honored at a ceremony on November 12th 2008. Honorees were chosen by a panel of judges from a pool of state-wide nominees and were evaluated based on business success, positive family and business linkage, multigenerational family involvement, dynamic contributions to community and industry, and innovative business practices or strategies.
